Got everything back together and running last night. Then this morning it started acting up. Won't idle, I haven't had time to mess with it yet. Didn't change anything that would cause this. My dad is the engine man, but he went on a camping trip. May need some help, and advise.. :) I think it's ignition not fuel. Kind of has a mis and the idle is crazy. Give it gas the idle takes off, decelerate it dies

Off the top of my head sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. Also, you probably already know this trick, but with the car idling, pull the plug wires off the distributor cap on-at-a-time. The engine should drastically drop RPM's with each one that you pull, and when you put the end of the wire near its hole in the distributor cap it should be able to jump a spark from the cap to the wire, and the RPM's should pick back up when you do that. If any of the wires don't affect the engine speed when you pull the wire then that cylinder is the culprit.

Kostya is my protégé, he's getting damn good at tuning. Just a matter of time before I'm asking him for help

I've eliminated the vacuum leak thought. Sprayed WD-40 around both carbs and intakes no idle change. Kostya might need a favor, can you stop by today? Have a timing light? I don't have a timing light here at the shop it's at home. I'm a little slow today with work, so I'm going to start messing with it after lunch

I'm getting good at that :geek:

Yeah I have a timing light, but it's the one that can't be adjusted. It's the one for degreed pulleys I'm guessing, but yeah I'll swing by.
