To each his own. jeff wanted to paint a checker board on his roof. And Eric, well he can't get in to cars unless they are slammed....

Anyone have any thoughts on the apron??? Eric, I'll look for some pictures of other Double's and try to figure out what needs to happen with regards to routing exhaust, originality, etc.

Elliot, do you want both exhaust cut outs smoothed? Check out the panel. I'm going to redo the one already there, just wondering if you needed the other.

This it why I'm going to redo it. The back side is visible if you get under and look. Notice the previous patch.

Any reason for this cut out, or does it need to be fixed? If so we need a doner piece.

What kind of exhaust outlets did '59 type II's come with Eliot?
What kind of exhaust are you planning on running?

I like the truck tires also if I decide to leave it in the air. That's a big "IF" though... I love a Slammed bus! I'm struggling with this decision as I use this truck a lot and I want to be able to Drive it! I love taking the kids camping in it. Maybe Air is the answer???

I'm not sure what the 60 DC would've had from the factory?? I'm trying to find some pictures now. I'd like to keep the original sheet metal look if possible. I'll probably run a big motor with some sort of merged exhaust.

OK, here are some pictures. It looks to me like you don't need the cutout if you run this type of exhaust?? What do you guys think?
