Finally got a clean project car. Found it on craigslist last week and he was cool to hang on to it until the notch went bye bye. So Tuesday night I went to pick it up. The bug is really clean ( also uncut dash  ) and I got everything except a few missing pieces which isn't no biggie. Only rust on the whole car is on the pass. side floor pan. No rust in the door jams or heater channel. Also the frt got tapped, but not much to cut the frt clip off for a 1pc frt end. NOPE!! I'm shocks since the car is from Washington it's not a rust bucket. I took alot of picture today of the car so here they are.

I'm going to build a class car to run in NHRA "Super Stock" SS/VX. Scott Kelly has been working with NHRA for 2yr on a VW class and they finally did it. Its been many many years since the old Modified Compact days when you would see 30 plus VW's at the track. Thats what I grew up with my dad racing back then.

I'm leaving the car bone stock other than the lowered beam thats on the car, roll bar, Centerline Wheels, wheelie bars and small motor with big ported head and IDA's

Wow Meredith, that thing is in great shape. It'll look great with the Centerlines.
