I started on the apron today, to make it removable. What a pain in the ass. I hate drilling spot welds lol. Slow and steady...
It's going to be soooo worth it though when that big ass engine just slides right out :D

After I finish the areas under the fenders I need to move on to where the deck lid seal goes, and then inside the engine compartment on the sides.

What model manifolds are you running?

Please excuse the headlights, but I found a chin spoiler that fits a standard.

Wow, those headlights! Not sure how anybody thought that would look good on a Beetle :hillbilly:

Anyway, do you know who made that spoiler?

Creative Car Craft $125+ship
I talked to the owner of CCC David Wiley on FB and he confirmed they make them even though I couldn't find it on their website.

Thanks man! That's way too deep for my application sadly. I would love something much more subtle. Just may have to make my own some day, could be a fun project. I've never laid up carbon fiber before...

Apron is off! What a PITA. Not nearly as big a PITA as disassembling and reassembling the engine in the engine bay

Not much to report here. The motor is ready to come out. The oil is drained and everything is disconnected, just the 4 bolts remaining. Guess I need to get my engine stand back from my neighbor so I don't have to put it on the floor :hillbilly: lol
