New to this forum posting pics of my 64 bug project

I'm new to this forum, I have been on another forum while working on my project which is about complete. Thought I would break the ice and present my 64 for your viewing pleasure. LOL It's nothing perfect, it's my first bug and my first start to finish project. I'm heading down to the Classic with it in April. Can't wait! My 7 year son has named the car "Do-Do Bug" I laughed at that and thought the name fit. I hope to meet some VW groups. I have went to a couple Dallas Aircoolers shows etc. But I know there are other groups of VW enthusiast out there so I hope to meet more and maybe find a fit for myself and my car. I guess there's nothing wrong with hanging out with a couple groups. LOL

A little about the car, It was Red with Whites sides, and the clear coat was peeling off. It had rusted out doors and rust on lot's of the surface. But in really great shape otherwise. I spent all summer in the garage every weekend sanding etc. I took most of it apart got it painted and then put it all back together in that same garage. I took out all the windows, rebuilt the door hardware and cleaned etc. I still have work left to do. But at least I'm able to drive it.

Engine is nothing special but at least it rolls. 1200 40HP
Paint Eastwoods Rat Rod Satin Black topside, Gloss Back on the sides.
