Built Nov 30 1959. Delivered to the Port of Houston. Mcodes show US Spec Bumpers and lights and.....Hoops and Canvas! The truck is really complete and not alot of rust. It came with a complete rear end "Big Nut" trans and reduction gears for a '67. The current "Small Nut" has a broken stub axle. The biggest part it is missing is the rear bumper. Only made for 3 years, only for trucks. ( I need one). The following pics are from when I looked at it. I will post more pics after I pressure wash and wipe it down.

It's going to get hoops and canvas and be turned into a "Chuckwagon" Calistoga style. I'm buying a new BBQ pit from Joe to tow behind.

I refurbished the wiper motor. I dismantled it, clean off all the rust from the armature and the magnets & regreased with white lithium. The spring and fiber washer for the brush arms was missing. Ace Hardware, palace of the obscure, had a spring and washer that fit the bill perfectly. I wired it to the voltage regulator on the bug and it spun with no sparks or smoke! I am only missing ONE damn piece for the entire assembly. I need a ball socket. It is what is attached to the actuator arms to connect to the pivots. Sort of like T3 carb linkage, but it isn't threaded it has a set screw. I'm still waiting to get my garage rebuilt, so I'm not diving into the project as fast as I would like. At least I can cross something off the list........
