I drove it around the block last night and it felt great.
I need to adjust the clutch and brakes and then chase down a headlight gremlin. It's a ground issue for sure.

Like was said before PICs or it did not happen... better video..

Drove to Doug and Candi's yesterday. It's loud with 3 safaris open and no door glass. Drove nice, but the steering is looser than a $2 whore on Monday.... I need to rebuild the drag link. Its sorta like a king pin, but in the middle. I'm sure the brass bushes are all worn out. I have an odd headlight issue too. Right side low beam is fine left side is "lit" but not bright. Switch on the high beams and the problem reverses itself. Left side is bright and the right side is dim. I think I am going to rebuild the buckets and see where that gets me. Odd for sure.

My DC did that, I ran a screw into the metal for the ground and new headlight connectors, and they lit up nice and bright

Update:

I made it to Nifty Fifty's Saturday night. It was great to drive it. Windows wide open! I am not happy with the motor. It has alot of blow by and has an oil leak while driving. . I am going to swap long blocks with the motor I just took out of the Super Duper Beetle and hope it's better. I will plan on rebuilding something soon.
I rebushed the center pin and replaced the drag link. It steers alot better, but not awesome. I need an alignment. The tires are slightly toe out and that sucks at higher speeds. I will replace the tie rods soon and fix it all at once.
In general its a fun ride. One car parade for sure.

AZAutohaus has the best damn prices for Dub parts. Check them out if you haven't heard of them. Mahle 85.5 P&Cs for $215 w/free UPS Gound. Anything over $75 gets free UPS Ground.
