It's been going. Raising kids, building fast cars.

Is that CH welder still running?

Ethan,

New to the site, but noticed on your build thread you installed an in-home lift. Have been looking at a few of these as of late (BendPak, Danmar and MaxJax). Looking for either a four post or two post that will permit access to the car as well as room to park another car beneath it.

Any comments and/or suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
John

Whoops, wanted to mention I've been enjoying your thread, and can't wait to see the car in person! It is all in the details, and the cars (projects) on the site are incredible.

Hey John, Thanks for the kind words. I know that there is no way to park a car underneath my lift. I have low 8ft ceilings in my garage hence the reason I went for a low rise lift. I do really enjoy having a lift. I have used it way more than I thought I would. I do plan on switching the system though. I plan on getting the benpak scissor lift. What I do not like about the maxjax one that I have is that I have my post so close together so that it hits the desired lift points on a beetle that no one other than my wife can get into the car when it is on the lift. Sounds like you have high ceilings if your plan is to park underneath , in that case I would chose any of the 4 post lifts. I do not think I would park under a two post lift my 2 cents.

Well I really do need to go on a diet lol but I dont think I would ever be able to diet enough to fit in the door when its on the lift, its only about 8-10 inches between the open door and the post
