Well, I kind of dropped of the map for a while. Long story short my wife was pregnant with twins, we lost one (Noah) and Benjamin was born at 30 weeks in May and is still in the NICU and has undergone around 10 surgeries now. So, my life has been insane.

So, I have been talking to Jason and Jeremy about getting the body work done soon. I am going to drop the body back on the pan, line the pans up and weld them in this weekend since I have a 3 (maybe 4) day weekend. Waiting on a buddy to let me borrow his argon tank. I have never welded in pans, but I think I can figure it out ( :?: ). Hope to have the VW done and on the road before summer hits next year.

I have been looking around on here and everyone's VWs are looking awesome!!!

I'm glad your back brother, hopefully the little recovers and gets to go home soon. Sounds like you have a realistic deadline for your bug, that should be manageable.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I think I have a realistic schedule for the bug. I am just tired of seeing it waste away on saw horses in the garage! Between being at the hospital everyday, work, National Guard, school and the family I am going to try to make it happen.

Im glad to see you'll get a break with a 3 or 4 day weekend. You deserve it. Post up when you're working on the bug, I'll be there if I can make it. We can lower the rear with the body off if you want. Just let me know.

We're praying for you and your wife. We hope Benjamin gets to go home soon.

Saturday morning before it gets too hot is the plan depending on if my buddy can find his argon tank at work. They moved shops and he is not sure where it ended up. If not I have other stuff that can be done. Need to get the glass out and a few other things.
