getting a garage this coming weekend, gonna start breaking down my bug putting all my blood, sweat, tears and MONEY into her this will be and exciting experience, nerve racking yet exciting.. i might not know as much as anyone else on here, but i bought my bug for the love of the car and the learning experience to build something not only for me but for my daughter and i will get this done.. and hope that one day i might have the DLK flag in the rear window!!!

short term first obvously tear down body blasting, any body work that might need to be done which is minor in its own, deck, lids, doors, fenders, hood, and engine swap.. long term i want a completley new car light beige matte paint i think i might keep red interior tho, im thinkin 7" wides 145 15s red walls, 5" wides in front 135 15's red walls front full air ride suspension probably from airkewld unless you know of somewhere just as good quality.. not sure of engine yet tho thinking bout keeping the 1600 SP and just rebuilding it, or if i should just get a bigger motor and i will probably put an oil cooling system on it either way.. just some things i have in mind

Good for you and following your ideas. Just one thing, the stuff you are talking about will take some major funds to do right. If you dont have the funds take it slow and do little things so you can still drive the car. Many projects start with good intentions and end up for sale when the owners cant drive the car and loose interest.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing the progress.
