So your lever arm isn't all the way on? Does yours have the bolt on or does it have a snap ring?

Snap ring, and just that washer would not give the room you needed.

Hmm, ok. Yeah Doug, it didn't go on far enough to get the snap ring on because the shaft diameter was just a bit larger, but we had to hammer it so hard to get it how it is. We didn't think it would come off anytime soon, at least for the drive home. I'm hoping it hangs on long enough until I can get the stock fork welded back up and then I'll put that one back in. I think Wayne has it right now.

Got my CVs, and rear bearings ordered. I'll be upgrading to the 944 axle and brakes just to get it over with. I've had most of the parts for it for so long, but now since it's making so much noise, I need to swap it all out. It will be all Porsche from the axles out except for the spring plates. If anyone wants to know how this puzzle goes together, let me know and you can come on over. 8-)

So... The Super is no longer my daily. We bought another car for my wife to drive, so I will be driving her old one. The Super is probably going to get unintentionally neglected for a little while until I make time to do some much needed maintenance on it...

They say you can take the cv that is making noise off rotate it and put it back on and get some extra miles out if it. Gives it a new ride surface.

That makes sense, flip it 180deg and the angle will be opposite of what it was. Hadn't thought of that. I'm swapping them all out for bigger ones anyways.

Since the weather has been so damp lately I guess, my carbs are really hard to open and the linkage is super stiff, I have to actuate it with my hand from the engine compartment. Could this be moisture in the shafts causing them to seize up?
