I'll have to take you up on that! I want to get the black HD mounts. This one should work just fine.

I also plan on dropping the rear sometime in the future, so if you know anyone who'd like to help with that
I've never done it, but I know the process pretty well.

Does anyone have experience with the CB Rhino mounts? I don't like the fact that they are made with "pot metal" brackets...

I've been running the Rhino mounts for a few years now w/o any issue and have always heard good things about them.

Thanks guys! It runs really strong and I end up running out of gears on the highway!

I put my new wheels and tires on last night and actually got the ignition switch to work. I drove it to work this morning.

The wheels are from a Porsche 928S and are lightweight forged alloy. They weigh about 16lbs each! Much better than the 21lbs of my previous 17" gravity cast ones.

Update: First full tank of gas netted me 27.46MPG  I'll be watching the MPG's closely since this is my daily driver now.

I've never had problems with the red urethane mounts, even putting a lot of power through them, but who knows, maybe I've always been lucky. :?
I'm running HD VW mounts now though with a strap around the bellhousing, at Rancho's suggestion.

Your fuel mileage is pretty good! If you really want to dial it in, get a wide band AF meter. On my old motor I was getting about 19-20 mpg in stop and go traffic, even making about 180 hp and with frequent romps on the throttle . I had my idle circuit tuned to about 13.5:1 at cruise. Probably could have gone a little leaner too, you just have to experiment a bit. Make sure you have a cylinder head temp gauge if you play around with leaning it out for better mileage, they definitely run hotter the leaner they are.

I made sure the trans mount bolts were tight (they weren't completely...)

I don't know that I really need to dial it in more. I'm not too concerned with it. Maybe at some point, but for now I'm satisfied. I will be upgrading these carbs with CB's update kit eventually (I have them, just gotta do it) so we'll see how it runs then. FYI, they are Dell 40's.
