 Post subject: 1965 Bus (Bevo)

Well the new motor was got me confused i have put about 150 miles on it a 1776 with duel Delortos drla 36s" outher than that still petty much mild build stock heads fullcircle crank stock valve train C 25 cam. It is running a bit hot no guages hard to restart and oil light is coming on at idle after a highway run. Sat night i was on the way out about one mile from the house it statred bucking and no power I twhahougt is was out of gas I had my rescue crew bring a gas can put a couple gallons in still the same problem got a tow home. Tonight I started checking it out all the carb linkage it is in tack, pulled the fuel line off and ran the fuel pump good flow,valve covers off checked the valves turned over to check all, all are good.
What next??????

I had a problem with a loose wire at the condenser on dug bug before.

Talking to James I am going to Chang the distributor I am running that Malory duel point I have a backup 009 in the bus I will try then I will try a coil

Try the coil first, its easier to swap out.
Make sure your fuel pressure is correct. Use a good regulator like a Holy, and a gauge. Never trust one of those cheap "dial" fuel regulators.

Different coil no change put the 009 need help to get in the right spot no fire from it.

Sounds like Red James problem... His issue was I think the idle cutoff wire. Does your carbs have this?
