Started tearing down one carb looking at the size they have 34 Venturi 60 for the short jet on top long one is 164. Didn't see any trash yet will start cleaning tonight. I am not sure on jetting what size I should be using for a 1776

I was going to say go in and through the carbs.. they are probably the cause of the motor running HOT as they are TOO FAT..
34 VENTs are decent for that build.. the cam is small I run the same one.. but I run 1.25 rockers.. I also have bigger heads.
if your heads are stock then 35 intakes with 34 vents are certainly doable.. but it would do better if the carbs had 30 or 32 vents
with your combo low end power would be far superior ..

make sure the floats are set to 6mm I think for dells.. and personally I'd lean it all out quite a bit more.. but a AFR gauge would
be a great way to actually see what is going on..
I have an adpater for the triangle style header flange.. with a nice little setup.. pretty easy to install and drive around with
to check out what is happening.. I'd be more than happy to lend you if you wanted to go that way..

this is all just carb tuning .. need to make sure the ignition is not causing problems first. Get with Koysta also .. he has a great ULTRASONIC
if you want a good inside out cleaning.. and I know how to stop the dellorto CHirp if that is happening also..

Well after loosing oil pressure I pulled the engine apart found that a shaving came loose so I drilled out all the plugs cleaned all passages new bearings, oil pump, set up for full flow and put a filter kit on it. I have got the short block built last night I want to get it running this weekend.
