Kostya & crew & me will be roadtripping to Eureka Springs in August... likely heading out either Wed or Thurs August 21/22. It's a fun trip for sure. Great show, cool tourist trap town, relaxed atmosphere....and rolling through the famous Arkansas' Pig Trail in a VeeDub is big fun

Do it!

Heck yeah, Wayne! You'll have a blast!

It's about 550miles from the north side of Houston. I like the backroads route.....through Lufkin, Longview, Idabel 8-), Fort Smith, and on to the Pig Trail, which leads you right into Eureka Springs.

Get on the road early Thursday and make a day of it. We should get there early enough to get settled in by early evening and have plenty of time to get rested (or hammered ;) ) ... and Friday we can watch all the Dubs roll into town.

I'm definitely looking forward to it! :D

Ok you guys have me convinced  .... May need a floor or couch to crash on in Houston if that's the way I need to come from Austin to hookup with the caravan. Remember I'm still a Texas newbie. I can roll over Wednesday night after work as to not hold the aircooled train up!

Got my work cut out now  time to tune the turbo and might even try to get the 56 Heilite setup and ready to roll.

This project continues to take a back seat to life .... finished the last fabrication work and prayed to the "measure twice cut but once" gods before cutting up my perfectly good barndoor apron and it payed off
Also tracked down an issue with calibrating my O2 sensor. Now to chase down a couple of oil leaks and get on with jetting, driveability and tuning
