I adjusted the valves on the motor tonight and when went to adjust the intake valve on #3. I couldnt get the feeler gauge to go all the way through between the valve and rocker even with the adjuster screw taken all the way out. Is my motor screwed.

take the whole rocker off, all valve springs look the same? It may just be that your distributor is in wrong, and you are adjusting the wrong valve at the wrong time

The valve with the problem the spring was sitting higher than the others i believe. The rocker itself was sitting on top of the spring. I am going to try to take it to a friends house for a second opinion.

So since the motor broke i'm going to upgrade things while i have it apart. The motor in it is a 1600 lyle cherry p.o.s with an engle w100 cam lightened fly wheel stock valve train and heads it was very highly balanced when it was built. I'm going with drd l3 heads drd l3 heads with single hd springs cb performance super stock rocker kit. I havent decided what carbs to go with yet i was thinking dual 34s or kads.

Sounds like you have a nice build in progress  . Why the DRD heads? seems like a ton of money for very little gain.

Sounds like a good little combo in the works. DRDs heads are works of art ;-)
