So most of you already know, I really wanted a Westy camper to take the kids camping. I found a 2WD Westy in Seattle and purchased it. I flew out there only to figure out that it had a few mechanical issues that weren't represented buy the seller... Long story short, it wasn't going to get me back to Dallas without some work. Soooo, in typical "Eliot" fashion, I found a Syncro that had just been completely restored. The guy that owned it was an airline pilot and he was in a bad place and needed quick cash. I thought it over and decided that I really wanted a Syncro and this was the nicest one I'd ever seen.. For the money, the decision was clear. I was there almost an entire week, getting things sorted out and hit the road on Friday. Got her back all safe and sound Sunday night. She ran flawlessly 8-) 8-) She's been rebuilt from the ground up and sports a 2.5 Subaru conversion. The body was taken down to bare metal and brought back. 250 miles on the entire drive train... Sunbrella interior and westy top, and on and on... Runs 75-80 all day long at 180 degrees :D :D I'm installing a stereo, lifting it 1", and lot's of racks in the works. As for the red Westy, well... Stay tuned. Here's some pictures from the trip

THE FIRST WESTY I BOUGHT..... IT'S NICE, JUST NEEDS SOME ATTENTION...
