Work on pan continues. Edge of pan hairpin brackets/pan strengtheners are complete (not bolted on in this picture). Front suspension is almost done. Still have to work on the panhard bar and thread the hairpins to accept the rod ends and clevis ends.

Spent the last months repairing most of the rust on the body. The heater channels were pretty much crap. All fixed now. Also repaired the lower half of the front firewall, a new lower right door hinge, a new right rear wheel well as well as the area from the heater channels to the center hump on both sides. I also replaced both rear "tail" pieces, the apron and both engine compartment side shelves. Still to put in is a new rear firewall (bead rolled by a local shop). I also cut and welded the sheet metal to form around and under the front hood (just don't like that open look).
I put the body on the pan and wheels & tires on to check the fit since all the body work was done...pretty well fit with only a couple of bolts to line up with the threaded inserts.

Looking good! I really like the piece you made to cover the outer heater channel, it really finishes it off.

Thanks for the positive thoughts guys....it's been slow work. So many big and small things to fix and keep focus on the end look...I added the headlights (to make sure they would work and still be able to steer as well as making sure the fiberglass will work on the sides of the lower front side areas. I like this look, but still need to lower the rear end. Cut the rear firewall out today and started welding in the new bead rolled piece I had made. Pics when it's complete. Looking forward to July 10th! Love the SPLASH!!!
