Picked up a clean '59 Euro Bug couple of months ago. Collecting few parts for it that was missing and other stuff I had to have.... Thanks to Eliot, Ethan, Jason Wallace and Jeremy. History of the car was bought at an auction about 10-13 years ago and that was the first time it came outside in 30 yrs.. By looking at the car it does show that it has been locked up for years. Has no rust or any body damage and also the pans are rust free.. My plans was to build a big motor w/ ida's and so on.... but when I got it to my shop that's when I started noticing how nice the car was and then looking at the numbers ( chassis, body, beam, tranny and engine ) that it was an all number matching car built in 12/58. So now its taken a different turn.... going back all OG except for the front beam and wheels. Since there is NO body work really needed I'm going to start on the chassis first.. I really hadn't done much to it in about a month. I'm working back down in the Houston area again and now working on getting a place down there so the family doesn't have to been in Lufkin, so the car is on a stand still for a few months.
