I picked up this little gem a few weeks ago. Nice '59 SC with very little rust, an old crappy red respray over the OG Dove Blue, plenty of PO hacks, but all-in-all... it's nicer than most.

It was running, driving, and stopping when I picked it up. Freshly reworked suspension, brakes, trans, and 1600DP motor. I'm digging the stock height. Love the big 6.70 Firestone bias ply tires. The engine runs smooth, but DAMN this thing is sloooowwww. I need to put some taller gears in the trans and build up a nice strong tractor motor like my DC has.

Other than that, I think I'll roll it the way it is. It could use some sheetmetal love to clean up some of the rough spots and hacks, but I'll think on that a little more. I'm afraid things'll get outta hand if start down that path. :|

Trent Harp from Burleson owned it back in the late 80's and into the 90's. Then it went to the Dallas area. It ended up tucked away in Mt Pleasant and that's where I got it.

I first saw it at DubSplash last year.

very cool. Does it still have small nut reduction boxes? I really like 1600's with big nut boxes, they make all the difference in the world and still let the motor run cool. Those 6.70's are bad ass
