Hey Chisel, I'm having stock wheels widened to 6" on front and 6.5" on rear. Praying with the drop and right tire size they will fit. It's going to be tight. Haven't decided on color, I'm black some days and a raw metal silver other days.

You'll need to be careful of the backspacing on the fronts. 16" wheels will easily clear the ball joint, but high offset 15's will cause problems. You can grind a bit off the bottom of the bolt, but sometimes it's not enough.

Long time no update. A few changes to wheel selection, found some wheels on theSamba and jumped on them, a little POR15 on the back and some spit shine on the chrome and I am happy with them! They are KPZ steel wheels, 5.5" all around, I haven't seen these before and I'm stoked to have something unique to my eyes. Some day I'd like to have them refinished a natural steel grey color. I also found some E30 comfort seats on Craigslist that I fabbed brackets for. Brackets aren't perfect but they allow stock floor covering to fit. Seats will eventually get recovered. Have spent too much time with analysis/paralysis on the wiring. I have an American Autowire kit I plan to install. Changes to the gauges and relocating the fuse panel to the back (beneath rear seat) has caused me to redraw the diagrams into one file with corrections. That took too much time and was probably overboard considering. I'm honestly intimidated by the wiring and I want it to look super clean. Lately have been restoring the steering wheel and mocking up switches into a removable dash panel. Also put the windows back into the doors. I read to only buy OE German scrapers and scrapers...so of course I bought Brazilian because they were cheaper...driver door went together pretty good, passenger was a mess, now have on order OE parts for the passenger side....ahhh! Still having fun albeit takes time. I'd really like to get wiring done this winter and set sights on the motor.

Looking good!
I like the wheels! The body color is great too. It's gonna be a nice car!

This car sold for $12,500 last December. I remember talking to Nick shortly before that and I tried to get him to bring it to Dubs on Display, but he couldn't make it.
