Thought I'd post a few pictures up of my new beauty. I am liking the color and I'm wanting to daily drive it asap, and let my super relax some.

She needs pushrod tubes and a little more work here and there. It has a 1967 SP 1500 slowpoke engine but it will work for now.

She is solid though

Maybe I will be lucky enough to drive her around soon! I really can't wait to get to adjust the valves, change oil, set new points, set timing, set carb. But I know I will end up steam cleaning the engine after adjusting the valves with the new tubes. I'm thinking the carb is the wrong one but will work. It currently has a H30/31PICT carb and I believe the 30pict1 is the best?

Looks pretty solid. Wow that is some serious damage to the push rod tubes. Hope you dont have a bent push rod. Have fun

you're right, that's a solid looking car. I like 73's, i think it's a good year. The bumpers don't stick out a half mile like they do on a 74.

good luck

Yes it was in Houston, near FM1960/59N

Its a shame, I had decided this is going to be "My Loud Volkswagen". I didn't think my next one would look better than my 72 Super (In my eyes)! The turning radius diffrence is huge, maybe theres a way to fix that though. Soon I'll be daily driving this!

I spoke with alot of people on the exhaust, but I'm really not sure if its worth the time to put a exhaust on a 1500sp, just save up money instead for a 1600+ DP setup.

Talk to Cousin It (James), he just put an exhaust on his 1500 SP and said it made a big difference. If you get one now you can always use it on a bigger motor later ;)
