That is one sweet looking ride! Is it an original rag or did you have it welded in?

You noticed that... ;)

Yup, its a welding in rag.
The guys before me did a good job, only a few places are tell-tell signs of previous donor car.

Richard you still got the old wheels?

I do... they are packed in storage right now. 2 sets of Porsche Fuch rims/tires, 1 set of 5 spokers, 1 set of 4 lug Centerline Drag lites... Might be posting a few sets in the Classified section soon.

Ive never seen one past 63 either thats why I was asking if it was cut in, I imagine they would be RHD drive as well but not sure. Think how valuable and rare an original 65 ragtop would be :hillbilly:

Update. (sorry for the bad cell phone pic)

On Sunday, I got a wild hair to pull the 2275 out... (spun a bearing a few weeks ago) Just now got around to messing with it. Had a 2110 laying around, so we'll see how that goes. Spent a few hours familiarizing again on doing an engine pull by myself. And of this of course was done in a cramped 1 car garage, at an apartment. I got everything done, new motor in it in about 3 hrs. Would have been sooner, but I had to reuse all the shroud pieces, alternator, electronics from the old motor. All I didn't have to complete and fire it up was new manifold gaskets, which I plan to pick up this afternoon.

I think I must have sweat 10lbs! A cold beer sure tasted great once I was done.
