Good Afternoon All!

I just recently picked up a 1966 Beetle! Woo Hoo! It appears to be a dry Oregon car, it just has some minor rust pits in the paint that I have seen so far. It has 2.5 inch drop spindles in the front, but still has all drum brakes. Seller said the motor was just rebuilt and has less than 500 miles on it. He also said the transmission was rebuilt as well.
So far, it runs well. I have taken it out around the neighborhood just to shake it out and see what its like to drive a low back seat car. (My two 69 Beetles were high backs)

My eventual goal is to make it a Herbie clone. Maybe my youngest son will drive it to school in 3-4 years...

From what I can tell it needs the following:
New battery.
The emergency flasher switch not working. All blinkers work fine.
Speedo. I'm looking at the one with the trip in it.
New gas lines. Not sure when they were replaced last and they look worn.
Back seat will not sit flush. Seller said maybe it was from a later year bug? Possible?

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Does anyone have a working emergency flasher switch for a 1966 Beetle they would be willing to part with? I bought one off of eBay and it doesn't work correctly. I have contacted the seller to see if I can get a replacement but not counting on that to happen.

Thanks in advance!

Ron

New ISP West Trip Speedo installed. Anyone else have one of these installed? If so, I have some wiring questions.

Please PM me!

Thanks,
-Ron
