Been driving the Mango around and the Double Cab hasn’t seen the light of day for months.
Drove the Double Cab the other day and the difference between it in the mango is night and day.
Mango is stock suspension with big tires and is so comfy, buttery smooth ride. Although it is smooth- my home built okrasa and reduction boxes makes for a slow cruiser. Which is actually perfect for its purpose of cruising downtown Austin on the weekends. Shifting is like a rifle bolt. Stops on a dime with disc brakes, almost better than modern cars with power brakes.
Double Cab is lowered and super harsh with little tires. Hope you like sore kidneys because your gonna have them after a day riding in it. Steering is sloppy. Shifting is sloppy. The chumbucket 2110 has crazy power and torque, 3rd gear super steep hill, no problem. All that power with old drums, kinda scary....
Comparing it to the piece of jewelry that is the mango, it’s time to take the Double Cab to SteveO for some love
