Aaron from Katy New here , and here is my project 1970 vw . It’s had many different combos thru out it’s life . Car is new to me I’ve had it about 2yrs . Plan is to completely restore the body and paint chiffon white, wish is why the deck lid is painted that color as a test panel.
Some before pics from when the car was turbo.

Now the car is N/A 1776cc 110 cam and 1.25 rockers AJ sims heads .

its a great looking car. Love the Fuchs with the M&H's, such a good look, can't go wrong.
Why did you ditch the turbo?

thank you . yea i love that look with those tire, is exactly what i always wanted. ive got a new narrow beam from airkewld coming and exhaust, rann kafer from A1 coming too ..
i was having a lot of problem with the turbo , the person that build the engine didn't do a lot of things right. very first problem i had the first time the car was driven with the turbo engine around 50 miles in to the drive it stop making boost and oil pressure.
upon taking the turbo out , notice a lot of metal in the oil feed line. took the engine out and apart notice the cam bolts where hitting the back of the oil pump. so that clogged my oil galleys.

Wow, that's a pretty armature mistake he made, that's one of those things you always check when building a new motor!

Your 1776 should make for a great driver!

Clean ride and style. It sucks the turbo motor had all the issues. Hope to see you around once all this covid crap settles down.
