thanks Mike. So, we fired it up a week or so ago. It was running rough and seemed to be missing on the 3-4 side. A quick compression test and there was only 30 psi on #4. Dead slug. The plan now is to pull and rebuild. Dave ordered new single port heads, 88mm slip-ins, dual 34's, new exhaust, and the other odds and ends. We may throw a mild cam in it too, maybe a w100 or CB Cheater cam, and some 1.25 rockers. So it will be a 1679cc SP with dual carbs and a small merged exhaust, should be a great driver. |
