When are you going to post a few pictures of your Manxter in the projects section? :P It's going to be sweet when it's done. Any progress lately?

At work right now so don't have any photos of it. The stuff that Eric did to it will only be seen when the Manxter is completed. Anyone know wiring? We just need to wire the gauges and then we can put the windshield on, the gas tank in and then the side pods on. Then hopefully run the wires back to that brand new 1776cc motor that's been sitting back there from day one.

We went with a 1970 Bug we found in San Antonio. The dude tried to get the motor running for us. He was glad to see the bug go to a good home that was going to restore it. He called the bug Jenny. Well Jenny had a sex change operation and became a Manxter. The body went to Victoria Texas to Bobby. The plan was to pull the body and just use the parts and that was simple enough. Well 3 years and well the only piece of orig hardware we used off that 70 bug was the Transmission. All the rest of it's brand new. Adjustable front Beam, shocks, disc brakes, a new 1776cc motor that was built by SCAT in CA. New Tires and Rims. Seats out of a 98 Camaro and the rears are Beard Seats. Lori did the interior. I was almost done with the buggy till I met this guy at some cruise night with this wild looking Squareback. We had some other guy showing us his custom paint jobs on paper, but once we saw Eric's designs and we got together well the buggy came back apart. Custom Dash, Custom top, painted tank, Emblems, bumpers, etc. Custom gauges, custom shifter, chrome E brake.

Oh that reminds me I bought a 1970's Carpet set from Mid America for the buggy and the thing does not fit worth a toot. Does anyone need a nice black carpet set for a bug? I paid over a $150 for it, but we can talk about the price or what not. Let me know. See signature and you will see part of the build, but not all of it.

It will be a super sweet buggy when completed! Can't wait to see it finished guys and gal, I hear the interior is really sweet as well as all the details that will be seen once completed and Patrick and Lori let the Manxster out of the garage!

Trying to figure out how to do some other custom work on the Manxter.

In the mean time there is this cool website with some flash techniques that you all can look at about the Manxters. The guy who invented them lives in LA, but this guy took it to the next level and well is building them for other customers and got permission from Bruce Meyers to build them. As you can see the prices aren't cheap. For a Manxter S it's $44k.. To much for me...

Here's a Meyers Manx Dual Sport off road. One step up from our kit and a little more $$$
