Welcome. Looks like a solid start. Gotta go with ditch the stinger and dump it on its nuts  Oh yeah and 90's called and they want their interior back. J/k. Have fun with your ride. Looking forward to your progress.

Thanks guys.

I'm pretty much driving it as-is right now. For the most part, I'm thinking about just putting back the parts the POs removed and making everything work properly and look right. Trunk release, interior knobs, etc. I'm going to change the exhaust but i'm not sure if i want to put the heater back together (jtubes currently). I've not decided what color i want it and i can't do the interior until i decide what color i want the outside. I've put together some colors i've been considering: http://armedgeek.net/bug:color I'm leaning towards the yellow/white or green/white.

Green & White please! But a little lighter green

I've seen a couple of green/white bugs that look really really nice. Of course, then that leaves the question of what color to do the interior. I suppose I need to hit thesamba gallery and look at green/white bugs to see what interiors look good.

We have that exhaust on our '64, and it's not too bad. It sounds like a beefy stock exhaust, with a little bit of the tweet. Most have heard the car and should chime in sooner or later.

Good to see another VW hit the road on a daily basis. Keep sharing pictures of your progress. And BTW....the Ukranian brothers 64 sounds good w/that exhaust  .

I got some parts. New exhaust, alternator, t-bars, bunch misc other stuff. I also pulled the red/black seat covers off (looks better now). Engine has been pulled out and cleaned up. I should have it back in by Sunday.

It'll be nice to get it back on the road, the gas mileage in my truck is killing me.

I decided on a color too.

Gray interior.
