I was planning on having mine mechanically sound and try to camp out for the show, but unless I found a bunch of cash and had the rest of the days off work before the Harvest; it ain't happening this year.

yeah they are good peeps, he tell you about the dc's he had and all the panels? I did a 5 minute estimate in like an hour and a half talking to that oldtimer. People like that deserve what they ask for, glad to hear it.

It was in the old man's barn just down the road from Eliot's shop in Spring. Going to be dragging it home in a little bit. The old man also has a '74 Beetle that is in good condition that he wants to sell, I don't anyone who is looking for a fat chick bug, but it looks clean.

Ethan helped a botha out and dragged the bay down to my hood (we saw a lincoln towncar with 3 continental wheel kits  ). So today I washed the barn off of it and started installing seals. I also got the assist from Erik G and dropped the motor and tranny too. Dumped some marvel mystery into it and was able to free her up. I got a sneaking suspicion that this motor is a good runner (oil/ and plugs looked awesome  ) plus some goof stripped the idle cutoff solenoid and then proceeded to try and hold it into the carb with baling wire, wtf is wrong people you use zipties for that, derr :nono:

So far no surprises, aside from the 2 rusted out spots this thing is as solid as can be  and I think I may have a good runner too
