LOLOLOLOL, I think all ACVW's need that, but what exactly do you need? I'm guessing the brakes need to be gone through, looks like you only started on the electrical, is the motor a runner?

I need a front floorboard welded in, brakes gone through, and start the motor.

Sorry once again no pics, I was focused solely on wrenching.

Saturday:
Safelite installed a new windshield in 30 minutes flat :wow:
Installed the gas tank
swapped the gen out with the one Dave gave me then stabbed the motor in
ordered another master cylinder because the one I bought last week doesn't fit :furious:
installed the badass machined shift coupler
replaced rear hatch seal
installed the battery
fired the motor up in the vehicle
tested the electrical
went to the Kemah show

Sunday:
etch, primed, and painted the engine lid
fixed the big fold out table
repacked the CV joints
installed the rear apron, bumper, and hitch
drove it

This thing had a locked up motor and the PO said the trans didn't have first, just rusted rings and a bad shift coupler...I lucked out

It shifts better then my notch, I really like that billet shift coupler http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1252462 . There is couple of small issues to sort with the electrical, but I suspect most will be solved with new bulbs. It still is not charging, so I ordered some new brushes and a VR, I might even get a alternator conversion kit just in case.

Here is the new to-do list:
register it
install MC reservoir and bleed the brakes
fix the charging system
replace the burned out bulbs
figure out why the gas gauge isn't working
get the tires balanced

That's all that is left, I'm going to take this to the harvest but its going to be by the skin of my teeth.

You are a MONSTER!!!!....um I mean I bet you drank a lot of monsters during all this progress.

It has taken a few monsters to get the westy where it's at, that's for sure.

The generator is charging like a boss, I need to slow the frick down because I'm making stupid mistakes. I DF and D+ were backwards  So now I'm going to have a spare VR and brushes
