I don't believe bugs ever came with any type of strap to secture the spare. Of course a stock bug could never really pull enough g's that it would be an issue :lol:

I have seen a couple of 356's with this engines. What do you think?

Those motors look pretty sweet! Thanks for the link. I wish they had more pictures and technical info on their website!
Like the guys said though, I think I'll be sticking with my motor. It makes enough torque down low to drive around at 16-1700 rpms in 4th gear all day and enough on top to demolish about anything it comes across :P And if I want more, I can always add some forced induction ;)

Their website is worthless. I agree about your motor. I am just throwing ideas. Do not go with the forced induction route. No point really.
