Looking good so far. For us of those that are ignorant of type3 beams as well as air rides, how are those going to work. Do the bags push off a mount on the body, or are the bags just sitting above the mount for mock up? I know that I can wait for it to be built and then see how it all comes together, but..... :help:

The top mounts aren't there yet. We are waiting on ball joints and a few other T3 bolts that are missing. The next step is to assemble the beam. Then fully extend the control arms upward till bottoming out. That's the slammed position. At that point the top mount can be fabbed. They will mount to the shock towers. The shocks will relocate to the inside. The double convuluted bags allow them to be in contorted positions. The only critical thing is the minimum hight of the bag slammed is 3". With long travel shocks he should get 6" of lift no problem. Without shocks 4x4 stance  This entire set up will bolt on with grade 8 bolts. The torsion bar's splines (2 in a T3 beam) are machined off on the inside end that bolts to the beam. A shouldered bolt will allow it to bottom out at the end of the threads with some shoulder showing. A washer will be machined with enough clearance to go between & allow it smooth turning up and down. The cool thing is that it will still function like it did with the torsion bars. Only the bags carry the load.

Do you mean is he going to use them, I guess so. Haven't heard any plans to upgrade to disc brakes.

That doesn't sound right..... ( the pitch) that is. O'days only has common sizes, you'l have to go to a specialty fasteners place, and they still may not have weird metric bolts.

The good news is....... You need 4 bolts 1.5" length x 10 dia. x 150pitch common size. O'days should have them.

Awsome. So the shocks limit the amount of travel upwards? Kinda like a limiting strap? I was thinking that the bag mounted to the top part of the beam and the lower control arm, that is why I had trouble getting a mental pic of what you were doing.

No, I meant has anybody been able to get those darn front drums off. Several of us were over at Dylan's place on Friday and the stuck drums were the major source of frustration (other than my frustration of stepping in dog doo in my Vans... :x )
