Here is a list of stuff to keep as spares:

clutch cable
throttle cable
gen belt
valve cover gaskets
2 qts of motor oil
bunch of 8 and 16a fuses
points
condenser
fuel filter

all that plus a few simple tools should get you out of most problems.
