I bought these the other day and plan to put them in n thursday. They come with the metal sleeves and i wanted to see how u guys recommended installing them before i screw up the bushings. Will pounding them in place with a mallet do the trick or should i be more careful and use a vice to slowly press them in?

I'd tend to think a Mallet and block of wood.. would get them in nice and easy. maybe two blocks of wood..
one to rest the bushing on.. and one to strike with the mallet driving the sleeve in?

did these come from AirKweld?

A little WD-40 and channel locks will slide them in nice and easy. If you use a mallet the metal sleeves will cut the bushings. Those do look like the airkewld shocks Pete sells.

Yeah, they are from airkewld. I needed a custom size since my shock towers are so low. The rear towers on split pans dont arch up as high as later pans. They come right off the torsion and stop below the body. Check it out.
Image my car with weight on the wheels has a distance of 10.5 inches from upper to lower shock tower. These shocks have an 8-12 inch range. So hopefully they work alright.

2.5 as of now on the compressd side, which is what i was worried about. I have adjustable springplates and plan on cranking the back end up a little bit as well. trial and error til i get it figured out.
