Wayne- I just get in the car and go too. When I limped the honduh home a few weeks ago I knew I could just hop into the notch and be good 2 go (I hadn't messed with the tune for at least 4 months before that). I'm just taking advantage of driving it everyday to get the tune perfected, it's saving me time and gas to do it this way, plus it makes the long drives more interesting. :geek:

as good as your stocker runs, I can guarantee if you were monitoring the the O2 you would see it too rich and too lean in parts of your tune and I know for a fact the stock dizzy is not giving the motor the amount of advance it wants which leads to hot heads, sluggish throttle advance, and your poor mileage. Andy in the UK has a stock 40hp with nothing else except a computer controlled ign setup and his mileage went from 21mpg to 39mpg plus his throttle response improved greatly and it had more pep. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Wayne w:pw

I get approx 31, sometimes 32mpg in the 67. But 39? That is fantastic. I would love to get that... I did put in a 120 main in the carb but a 125 main was much better for the engine. There was a discernible difference between the two. So the 125 stayed. One of these days I will go the route of efi, just dont know when...

That's not bad considering what he was getting, now that is just from ign, fuel management would yield some more mileage gains too.

Just nut up go EFI, then you join me in talking down to all the carb/dizzy peeps

The '67 will stay factory stock but I may toy with the idle/main jets. I am wanting to go to 122.5 in the main and see if thats a happy medium between the two. Really dont want to mess with the exhaust either. Now, the '69, yes, I will do EFI. But crap, three jobs and a vw show looming on the horizon for me. No real time now...
