Houston VW Drag Day 2008...

Alright boys and girls. I got more info on the time & entry fee today.

Gates open at 11am and Time Trails Noon-6pm

Spectator fee: $10.00 @ the gate and again this year we will take care of our own payout. Our entry fee will be $20.00.

Everything is a go ahead and if I have anymore info I'll post it on the board.

Here is a run at the Motorplex yesterday at the Bug In. I ran a 12.06 0n a 12.20 dial in. I thought the bug was gonna run slow in the heat of the day, I was wrong. I made 7 trips down the 1/4 yesterday with no problems. I will be ready for drag day.

I have decided that I will be all-engine for this. After this weekend, the tear down will begin. Don't ask what I am doing, I ain't gonna say...

I have also decided that I will race but not for the cash. Somehow with me heading up the BAVWC and also with us sponsoring, I see a huge conflict of interest. So I will be doing this for exhibition only...'cept for side bets... :lol:

Okay gang, less than a month to go. Hope everyone is getting ready. A few updates on the topic. BAVWC will sponsor $500 cash to the winners (split 70/30, not including buy-in) and John Weatherly will do approx 25/30 shirts for the race and will go to the ones that register up for free.

I would like to get a roll call as to who will be out there.

I wont be able to go due to the fact that I have a booth in the Woodlands Home and Garden show. I do need to see if anyone close is going i need to send a gear puller to Kostya so if anyone close is going let me know so that we can hook up.
