I can care less what race a car club consists of, what bothers me is that show is in a barren parking lot, aka hot as hell, and what's worst then sweating my balls off is the music is so friggin loud that I can't even hear myself think. Local show or not, I have lots of better things to do with my free time then go to a crappy show.

There is only 3 local shows that I like, the rest suck ass and could care less about them. Both of my dubs are not show cars so the only reason I even attend a car show is purely for social reasons ,so if the music is giving me permanent hearing damage then it makes it pointless to even show up. The guys that run that show are cool as shit though.

Just a thought which is sometimes a bad thing for me to share here but what the heck:
Why doesn't the Houston DLK group throw the perfect show? No music blasting, no fake guns banging, a wide variety of food, lots of freeby's, shade available for those that want it, 75-78 degree temps, no rain, and the must if I'm gonna come a HUGE SWAPMEET! Cause the last low budget show I was there for got me a smoking deal on a 57 and earlier Vert rear window plus a truck load of other crap to bring home. I can't ever seem to remember what the trophy's looked like but a good swapmeet I remember.
Down side to this idea is the club members hafta work the event to make it happen, so just do a HACNIC Billy can burn some wieners.
