Billy- I'll make a shenanigans style in-car vid after I change the clutch, I have a boring idling one on my cell that i'm too lazy to upload. I can show it to you the next time i see you.

Doug- I have a couple of turn-arounds to work in the near future, I might just send that 091 to Rancho and have them put freeway flyer gears and a LSD in it.

Curious to see what you get after the swap. I'd like to do that too...

I would since 12mpg isn't very good.

There is one thing thing that might help my mileage...the variable length intake. I haven't gotten around to hooking it up yet. Honda activates it at 3800 rpms as per the factory ecu. I need to play with goodie. The gearing and aerodynamics are killing my mileage, that's the bottom line.

I could also get some more mileage if I hooked up my variable timing control. I need to quit being lazy and hook everything up to the megasquirt

I drove the rig to work today, a new problem cropped up...it is scary as fawk to drive in these Souff Texas wind, pucker factor 10 scary

so clutch, mileage (its going to take a well geared trans), and stability are all on the list. I should have never messed around with these neanderthal type 2's, they just aren't Nick style :hillbilly:

If you lowered it then the stability would improve probably. Wonder if you could have the gearing changed to second becoming first with a tall 4 th or even a fifth gear. I bet first is useless with the amount of power you now have. Probably like a diesel truck with a granny gear in 4 wheel low.

First is pretty good for getting the rig rolling, it is pretty heavy. I'll tell Rancho what I want and they will work their magic, it will probably just be a final drive.

No Billy, this thing needs to up in the sky. I have a very specific purpose for this vehicle and it has to be at least stock height to achieve that.

I think some of my stability problems is the honda motor is 100# heavier then the type 1 motor so my assend is just a touch lower then the front. I'm going to try some KYB gas adjusts. I blew out one of the rear shocks last Saturday so I'm taking that as a sign to get all new shocks.
