I really like the look of the floor but wasn't sold on the durability since our garages are used more for working than parking. The issue of having to put something down when using jack stands isn't a deal breaker for me so I may have to check into that for mine. Thanks.

Drained the oil, adjusted the valves, torqued the heads, and pulled the last couple things off the long block, then stuffed it into the car. Got the header bolted on, still need to tighten it down. At this point its pretty much just a matter of bolting everything back on the engine. I also need to run the new throttle cable and housing for the Sync Link throttle linkage.

Little by little, it's getting there. The carbs and manifolds are not bolted on, they're just sitting there. I wanted to start mocking up the Sync Link throttle linkage. Looks like its going to be pretty sweet. It should be easier to sync than any other type of linkage and stay synched regardless of engine temp. We'll see

The SyncLink system looks awesome. I have problems on long and hot drives w/ the thin CSP linkage, it expands and cracks the throttle open enough to piss me off!

Yeah, my Scat centerpull linkage was a real pain in the ass. It was very sensitive to engine temps, and really difficuly to sync. I had it synched with the engine up to full operating temp, so it always ran a bit crappy before it was warmed it. The cables with a little slack in them shouldn't have that problem. If SyncLink weren't out there I'd probably go back to a cross bar style linkage, they handle varriations in engine temps better than the center mount types.
My major gripe with Sync Link is that the throttle cable is disconnected at the petal, and has to be pulled out from the back of the car to remove the engine or fan shroud.

Almost there! Manifolds and carbs are all bolted up, a major PITA on this car. Main things left now are the Sync Link and the distributor. I'm expecting the throttle cable to be a bit of a pain, but we'll see. I hope to fire her up this weekend and if all goes well take her for a spin!
