BTW, this harmonic tuning stuff is real. Below is my hp and torque curves with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th calculated harmonic ranges shown. If you look closely, you can see that the torque produced in those RPM ranges is a bit higher than you would probably expect by looking at the neighboring areas of the curve. This is especially true in the 2nd harmonic (the strongest of the three), where the torque basically stays the same from 7000 to 7500 RPMs, but looks like it should be falling off. You can see similar effects in the 3rd and 4th harmonics (which are weaker), although not as pronounced. I'm barley catching the start of the 2nd harmonic at 7500 RPM, and it goes all the way out to about 9k RPM. I actually expect the engine in the car to make around 240 Hp at 8k RPM. On the dyno, Darren didn't have the engine adequately ventilated and he believes it was causing ring flutter above 7500, so in the car that shouldn't be an issue. I'll probably still set my shift light at 7500 and limiter at about 7700, 231 hp will probably be enough, lol.

Well, more is always better, but for a 1600 lb car that should be enough to propell it into the mid-11's at about 115 mph in the quarter. 8k RPMs is a lot, I would start to worry about the pistons coming apart. We'll see, I'm sure I'll hit 8k a few times and log some data to see if its worth it ;)

You overlooked one thing when building the motor.....chrome! It adds like 50hp AND its bolt on!!! You should read up on it. It's proven! If it didn't work they would have stopped making it decades ago!

.....just sayin'. And if doesn't do it for you, you could do a T4 conversion with EFI and chrome that!

Got the Sync Link all hooked up, just need to tighten the throttle cable at the petal. I was right, it was a PITA to run the cable, but I think on later cars it would be easier. The adapter seemed to be made for later cars. Anyway, after I got it hooked up I synched it from left to right in about 20 seconds with the turn of a single nut. I think its going to be well worth the effort. I really like the clean look of it too.
