BikeHouston is having a happy hour next Wednesday at Lucky's pub in the heights, Houston Ave and White Oak dr. 6-8pm, small pitcher deals and drink specials as well as snack foods

Bikehouston.org is an advocacy group for bike riders in Houston. This is right down the street from me and I may be able to get the pool going but that's contingent on the landlord, he usually has the heights historic group over Wednesday nights.

BikeHouston has a happy hour meeting once a month. I'll post those here

Monthly event. I've been to some before, they were not all that big but a cool thing to go check out. I've found some cool stuff digging through peoples bins, and if you are building a fixie you can probably find a lot of cool stuff. Location changes every month, last month it was in Pasadena

I'm local so I'll probably just ride over. Ceder creek is a great bar with good food

FrankenBike #31 ~ August 17, 2013 ~ 10am-4pm
Cedar Creek Café ~ 1034 W. 20th St. ~ 77008

Tonight is the Mayor Parker ride. It turned into a re-election fundraiser and I want no part in that. She did help pass the new safe distance for bikers law, and she has been instramental in opening and connecting the bike trails. Nothing else that really affects me, and I cannot support this ride in good faith, so I will watch from across the street. I hear people are planning a protest of the mayor at the same park, and last night their was a bomb threat, so it should be interesting
