Yea personally I think if this Trip Happened.. large enough.. the Trip itself would be epic and far more memoriable then the show..

I'll never get that kind of time off from the family but never say never.. it just may be in the cards..

Just throwing this out there.

Looks like a common part of the trip for anyone in the Houston, Dallas, Austin, Oklahoma, and the metropolis of Orange, TX...... is Amarillo to Irvine, which is ~1100 miles.

Everyone has various distances and routes to get to Amarillo:

Austin to Amarillo: ~500 miles
DFW area to Amarillo: ~350 miles
Houston to Amarillo: ~575 miles
Orange to Amarillo: ~675 miles
Oklahoma City to Amarillo: ~275 miles

Basic trip schedule:
Day 1: Everyone take their own route and get yerself to Amarillo by the end of the day
Day 2: Convoy 500 to 600 miles... maybe stop and stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona :P ...or possibly Flagstaff if making good time.
Day 3: Convoy remaining 500-600 miles to Irvine

The trip home could be the same routine, reverse order.
