Curiosity got the best of me as I was tired of wondering where the constant squeaking in the rear was coming from. Last few weeks, my car has also been clunking. What i mean is that instead of smoothly rolling from a stand-still as i let off the clutch, it sorta jerks slightly and then takes off as if the gear is slipping in last minute or something. Anyways, i checked the fluid level in the trans and replaced the axle boots. It wasnt until i put the wheel back on that i noticed that i could wiggle the wheel side to side with it secured to the rotor/hub assembly. So i took it back off and checked the other rotor as well and there is play on that side too. Matter of fact, Im pretty sure there would be more play if i took the calipers off....SCARY!!

I have the car in the air and cant break loose the 36mm nut. Looks like i might have to put the tires back on the car and on the ground to keep the rotors from spinning when i try to break them loose. :furious:

Sounds like the splines on the rotor/hub may be shot. Is the rotor and mounting plate one-piece?

I use mine all the time. Works for flywheels too.

Are those CB disk brakes? If so, that's what I'm running. Hopefully mine don't do that :|

Not sure if they are ine piece or not, mk-zero may be able to answer that. And yeah, i was thinking it was the splines as well, just didnt know if it was on the axle end or on the rotor end that wore out.

Let's hope it is just the rotors, otherwise you'll have to swap out the axles as well. I've had to do that before...

Yeah, thats the CB kit, i'll know more when i get them off. Thanks for the link, i will buy that today!! Already bought the axle nut tool but its still in yhe mail. Im probably gonna take this opportunity to look into another rear disc kit. Id like to go with a kit that has a zero offset and i know the CBs add more track.
