Just seeing how the engine would fit with my 1 inch RL Tranny raise. Had to make a few cuts but we got it in. And yeah I know the carbs are in backwards I just put them in to see if the deck lid would close. After I screwed them in I was like mehn to hell with it.

Looking great! How did the tranny raise effect your shift rod and shift coupler? Any clearance issues there?

A bus nose cone puts it right back in alignment. I bought a brand new tranny from Rancho and just changed the nose cone and there are no issues.

Thanks Mk-Zero & Nate. I need to figure out how I will keep the heat off the apron. There are a few thing I was told. One is a Stanless steel sheetmetal that attches to the header and the other are these heat resistant pads sold at summit.

I like to use header wrap. I have had excellent results with it. There have been times when I have accidentally touched my headers and it has saved me from getting burned.
