Looks like the 56 may be MIA for a bit until I can figure out where my large oil leak is coming from. I noticed on Monday that oil was dripping from the rear of the engine in larger than usual drips. I am hoping that some bolts may have loosened up, from me driving it so much, and I can tighten them up and be OK.

By rear, you mean the pulley end, right?

That is correct. I guess it would truly be the front of the engine...sorry.

No, it's confusing, but officially the pulley end is the rear of the engine, it's a common mistake to call that the front though...

Is it coming from the pulley? Or perhaps the oil pump? Of the base of the fuel pump? Easiest way to find a leak like that is to clean it up so its spotless then take it for a short drive and see where oil is starting to come from...

I hope that it is not around the pulley. I actually cleaned the bottom of the engine Monday and tried to determine where the leak was coming from. My first inclination is that it is from the base of the fuel pump. I am guessing that it is not the pulley as it is not slinging the oil on the deck lid. I may have to pull the engine to get it figured out. One thing for sure, it went from zero leaks to puddling under the engine in a matter of a few drives. I first noticed it at the show on Monday. When I drove it home, while opening the garage door to drive it in, a good sized puddle hit the driveway. It took about 2-3 minutes. Oh well, It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
