Ok so I was thinking that since the pan is probably going to be taking a beating, I just dont see the point of doing something super shiney and have it get all scratched up. So I was thinking of going this route. This way if I scratch it, I just get under there and touch it up. Thoughts/comments....
I have heard that Herculiner is great stuff. I was looking at this stuff here though:

This is fresh UPol bedliner as seen in the product photos earlier. It looks EXACTLY like the original undercoating. With the hardener it's rock solid.
And about the product. (What I like about it, is says that it is UV proof too):
• Easy to use-simply fill - shake - shoot
• Choice of pot life/dry times controlled by the speed of the hardener
• Enough material to re-spray the largest truck beds
• Dries rapidly & UV resistant
• Scratch & Stain resistant
• Protects against rust, corrosion salt, damp & extreme temperatures
• Waterproof, flexible, helps deaden sound & vibrations
• Apply with shutz gun, roller or brush to obtain different textures
• Provides excellent adhesion
