Are the gauge holes easy to see from a normal sitting position?

Yes and No. it depend how tall are u and the sit..
I am 5'-6" I see the gauges alright..

cool - I keep my tach tucked up right there also.. not always the easiest to see.. but really not bad..
I only play with "knowing" what is going on anyways.. so it truly is fine I think where it is at..

I gave one those little tachs to DAN to use in the bus.. I think they are cool also!
