Well been slow going these past few months but my Dad came into town and we got a few things done on the pan.

Started out by installing one piece axle boots.

As I assembled the tranny Dad tackled the installation of the brass shift rod bushing.

that thing was a nightmare to install.

I also cleaned all the rust off of the shift rod while it was out.
Image

got all the solid mounts installed..

I still have a torque/kafer bar to install but it will go on after the body has been mated.

The spring plates gave us hell to get on correctly. We started out by fabbing our own loader tool. Jeremy, Dad, and I spent about an hour making this beauty..

It worked like a charm and only cost me 11 bucks.

new brakes installed out back..

Front leaf springs narrowed and dimpled

checked shocks to make sure they cleared everything

Ryan and I went in halves on a reamer for the delrin bushings.

I ran into a major issue when installing my new german king pins into the new set of Airkewld dropped spindles. The hole was way undersized and egg shaped.
Image

I stopped by Joe's shop and he honed them to proper spec.
Image

but I lost one of the thrust washers and I am stalled until I get one.

Started the plumbing on the brake lines,

I'll post another update soon.

Wow, looks amazing Ethan! Just one question: all the time and money you're putting in that thing and you're going to run drum brakes on the back?

Got my kingpins in and have started on the front beam. I didn't catch that I had an early and a late control arm. I had two sets and didn't pay attention, I just picked out the best four out of them. So I had to take care of that. Joe gave me an extra set of carriers so I was able to replace the carrier that got messed up due to the new dropped spindles being undersized and egged.
