Hey Guys...

Scott Garvie from Orange, TX.... on the I-10 Tx/LA border. Grew up in the late 60's working in my Dad's VW repair shop. First car was a 68 Beetle. Later on got a nice '70 Ghia vert (in 1978) and drive it for about 10 years until it was smashed by a 16-year old (had her license on 3 days!). Next was a 64 standard Type2 that took me through college, and later a '62 Double Cab project that had to be abandoned. That was 1988 and I haven't had a VW since.

About 10 years of SCCA road racing came after that and the last several years I've been into late model V8 RWD Detroit Iron. I have a '99 SS Camaro and a '92 Mustang LX Coupe.

My kids will be entering college in the next 2 to 3 years and I have a shrinking window of opportunity to add 1 more toy..... and I'm long overdue for another VW. The VW "itch" has never gone away.

Looking for a nice split window Double Cab; the earlier the better. Would like to find a nice narrowed and lowered driver, but I'm not against a good project truck that I can send to KCW. If anyone has any leads, please call me 337-515-5849.

I'll be lurking regularly. Might even drive over to Houston for a meeting or a show.
